Antonine University (UA) is delighted to present the next concert in Chamber Music Season VII, featuring an exceptional piano recital by Jonathan Fournel, winner of the 2021 Queen Elisabeth Competition. Renowned for his profound musical sensitivity and remarkable technical mastery, Fournel has captivated audiences worldwide with his expressive interpretations and refined artistry.

About Jonathan Fournel

A laureate of prestigious competitions, Jonathan Fournel was awarded the Grand Prix–Queen Mathilde Prize at the International Queen Elisabeth Competition and secured First Prizes at both the Scottish International Piano Competition and the International Viotti Competition at just 20 years old.

A dedicated chamber musician, Fournel has performed alongside celebrated artists such as Gautier Capuçon, Augustin Dumay, Simone Lamsma, Vassilena Serafimova, Lorenzo Gatto, and Victor Julien-Laferrière. He is signed to the multi–Gramophone prize-winning label Alpha. His Brahms album was released in October 2021, and his second solo album, dedicated to Chopin and Szymanowski, was released in August 2024.
